Although Carnivals is celebrated in towns and villages throughout Brazil and other Catholic countries, Rio de Janeiro has long been regarded as the Carnival Capital of the World. Embora Carnaval é comemorado em cidades e aldeias em todo o Brasil e outros países católicos, Rio de Janeiro há muito tem sido considerada como o Carnaval Capital do Mundo. The Rio Carnaval is not only the largest Carnival, benchmarked against basically every other carnival, when compared it is also one of the most interesting artistic events in the world. O carnaval do Rio é não só o maior Carnaval, aferido fundamentalmente contra todos os outros carnaval, quando comparado é também uma das mais interessantes manifestações artísticas em todo o mundo. Pretty much everyone interested in Carnivals has heard of the Rio Carnival. Quase todos os interessados no Carnaval do Rio já ouviu falar de Carnaval. Foreign visitors to it alone number over 500,000 every single year. Visitantes estrangeiros a mais de 500000-lo sozinho número cada ano.
