Kyle Cassidy traveled fifteen-thousand miles over a period of two years, photographing Americans in their homes and asking only one question: “Why do you own a gun?” كايل كاسيدي سافر ميلا خمسة عشر الفا على مدى فترة سنتين ، تصوير الاميركيين في بيوتهم ، وطلب واحد فقط سؤال : "لماذا انت تملك احد المدفع؟"
A really good question, especially since most of these gun ownerships are not easily defensible with the notion of self-defence and their true place should be somewhere in the Armed Forces. سؤال جيد حقا ، لا سيما وأن معظم هذه الملكيات البندقيه وليس من السهل الدفاع عنها ، مع مفهوم الدفاع عن النفس والمكان الحقيقي ينبغي ان يكون في مكان ما من القوات المسلحه. All the photo were later compiled in the book with its German edition being published this year. جميع الصور في وقت لاحق تم تجميعها في هذا الكتاب مع الطبعه الالمانيه التي نشرت هذه السنة. As pointed out by Alan Cooperman from The Washington Post: “Each picture in Armed America could be a pro-gun advertisement - or an anti-gun poster. كما اشار الى ذلك ألن cooperman من صحيفة واشنطن بوست : "في كل صوره المسلحه الامريكية يمكن ان تكون مؤيدة للاعلان البندقيه -- او مدفع مضاد للملصق.
